![]() Idris ManleyWith over 25 years in the tech industry, I've led as a PMO leader through the evolution of groundbreaking technologies like Databases, Mobility, Distributed Computing, Big Data, and AI. These experiences have provided firsthand insights into Silicon Valley's competitive and innovative environment. Despite tech advancements, Project Management as a discipline has remained stagnant for decades. Here, I see AI's immense potential for change. Over the next five years, AI is set to revolutionize project delivery. In 2023, I partnered with a like-minded tech PMO executive, founding 'Future of Work 2.0.' Our mission: to guide project managers through AI integration and strategic project management. We're dedicated to educating and inspiring project managers about modernizing project delivery. Leveraging our expertise and passion for tech advancement, we aim to reinvent project management into a strategic delivery function harnessing AI for transformative success. Join us on this journey towards limitless possibilities. | ![]() Ross MartinI’ve spent over 30 years in the tech, media, and consulting industries in roles as diverse as software engineer and process designer. But, I embraced project and program management as my true profession. Along the way, I have witnessed and contributed to pivotal shifts in agile, cloud computing, and now AI. I have experienced the common frustration of project managers of being simultaneously appreciated for driving successful initiatives and being marginalized when compared to peers in product, engineering, and marketing. Our discipline seems to be in a rut, as the last significant innovation was agile over two decades ago. And perhaps the now-ubiquitous PPM tools, which at best help PMs to be more productive. However, the rise of Generative AI provides a monumental opportunity for project managers to rise from the tactical busywork and be welcomed as equals in the boardroom as strategic delivery gurus. Seizing this moment, we created ‘Future of Work 2.0’ to both educate and inspire our community of over one million project management professionals. We are dedicated to elevating our profession—and each other—through the power of the AI revolution. |
